As Central Government has decided to recommence the flights with effect from 25th May’ 2020.The flights will be increased in a calibrated manner across India. Currently only 1/3rd capacity of the summer flight schedule has been permitted to operate by Ministry of Civil Aviation.
The Provisional Domestic Summer Schedule has been approved and issued by DGCA for various airports.
If we talk about Chandigarh International Airport, 13 flights will be operational from 25th May’ 2020.
Air India ( National Carrier) will operate 02 flights from Chandigarh (IXC). One will depart to LEH (IXL) on every Tuesday and Saturday. The flight will arrive from LEH itself. [LEH- IXC - LEH]
The second flight will also depart to LEH on all days of the week but the arrival of the flight would be from Delhi (DEL). [DEL - IXC - LEH]
Alliance Air will also have 02 of its flights operational from Chandigarh Airport. One will depart to Dharamshala and the other to Delhi.
Indigo will operate 03 flights from Chandigarh Airport (IXC). One will arrive from Bangalore (BLR) and depart to Bangalore on all days of the week, except Sunday. [BLR - IXC - BLR]
Second flight will be for Delhi (DEL) and will arrive from Delhi itself. This flight will also not operate on Sunday. [DEL - IXC - DEL]
Third flight will arrive from Mumbai (BOM) and depart to Mumbai on all 7 days of the week. [BOM - IXC - BOM]
Air Asia and Vistara will have only one flight from Chandigarh Airport. Air Aisa will depart to Bangalore on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Vistara will operate its flight to Delhi on daily basis.
Go Air has given its schedule of 04 flights to be operational but they are unlikely to start it from 25th may' 2020. They might start their operations from 01st June' 2020.
Operational timings of Chandigarh Airport would be from 0630 IST to 2030 IST and the last flight to Delhi would operate at 2100 hrs IST.
